I live in Perth, Western Australia with my wife and four children (all under the age of 5).

Just recently in Perth there has been a massive spiral in the cost of housing, the house we're renting is way too small for my family and we want to buy a new house.

Not only have we had rising house prices, but the Reserve Bank of Australia has decided to put the interest rates up eight times in the last two years.

Due to these circumstances, it is difficult for even people who are well off to manage to live (let alone survive) and pay their mortgage (or rent).

I am aiming on purchasing a house in the ballpark figure of $400000, if I manage to raise this much money to buy a house, any excess will be donated to charity.
